PROGRESS PRIDE CHAIR

Questa è una sedia che qualsiasi artigiano potrà costruire in ogni parte del mondo senza particolari conoscenze tecnologiche. Basterà utilizzare questi disegni per realizzare il progetto con semplici assemblaggi di tavolette in legno e viti. L'unico elemento che richiede l'aiuto di industrie e commercianti sarà il sedile perchè in plexiglass trasparente piegato e curvato. In lontananza appare la "proposta per un' autoprogettazione" di Enzo Mari, irraggiungibile e strepitosa come certe utopie del Novecento. La ricerca di forme elementari da realizzare con semplici assemblaggi approda ben presto alla straordinaria sedia Rossa e Blu che il designer olandese Gerrit Rietveld realizzerà nel 1923. Intanto intorno a noi sventola la Progress Pride Flag, simbolo del movimento LGBTQIA+. Mentre cerco di svelarne il significato, emergono gli undici colori della bandiera arcobaleno che prendono il sopravvento sulle parole. La mente tace. Lo spirito si eleva. La sedia racconta la storia della diversità come valore. Undici assicelle da 25 mm, un solo bracciolo, così la sedia sarà completa solo nella scoperta dell'altro, della metà da ritrovare. La struttura dovrà essere libera di proiettarsi nello spazio per essere percepita senza interruzione visiva da qualsiasi angolazione.
